Autumn is a critically important period for plants to accumulate reserve substances, strengthen cell walls, and increase overall frost resistance. A balanced mineral nutrition plays a key role in this process, ensuring proper preparation for temperature drops.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"807\">Properly planned autumn fertilization is aimed not at stimulating growth (as in spring), but at directing the plant\u2019s energy towards flower bud formation, sugar accumulation, and removal of excess moisture from cells.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"838\">Soil Fertilization<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"1104\">In autumn, the focus completely shifts to phosphorus and potassium. Nitrogen, on the contrary, should be excluded or minimized, as it provokes continued vegetation growth \u2014 causing plants not to mature before frost and thus become vulnerable to low temperatures.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1294\"><strong data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1155\">POTASSIUM \u2013 \u201cThe Element of Winter Hardiness\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1158\" \/>It is the most important element of autumn nutrition, as it performs a number of key functions in preparing plants for winter, namely:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1710\">\n<li data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1441\">\n<p data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1441\">increases the concentration of cell sap, promoting the outflow of free water from cells and thereby increasing the frost resistance of crops;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1606\">\n<p data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1606\">stimulates the transfer of assimilates from leaves to perennial wood, buds, and the root system. For magnesium and sulfur feeding, use <em data-start=\"3936\" data-end=\"3955\">Magnesium sulfate<\/em> at 5\u201310 kg\/ha.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3974\" data-end=\"4222\"><strong data-start=\"3974\" data-end=\"3985\">\u2013 Boron<\/strong> plays a critically important role in sugar transport and strengthening of cell walls, making them more elastic and resistant to mechanical damage caused by freezing and ice crystal formation inside the cells (<em data-start=\"4195\" data-end=\"4208\">Makosh B 11<\/em>, 1\u20132 L\/ha).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4224\" data-end=\"4622\"><strong data-start=\"4224\" data-end=\"4234\">\u2013 Zinc<\/strong> is an important element for improving the winter hardiness of fruit and berry crops. It participates in the synthesis of auxins (growth hormones) and tryptophan, accelerating shoot maturation and ensuring the rapid outflow of assimilates (sugars) from leaves to perennial wood. This leads to the accumulation of natural \u201cantifreezes\u201d in cells, significantly enhancing frost resistance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4624\" data-end=\"4656\">Use <em data-start=\"4628\" data-end=\"4641\">Makosh Zn-8<\/em> at 1\u20132 L\/ha.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4658\" data-end=\"4752\">Foliar fertilization should be carried out in September\u2013October, 3\u20134 weeks before leaf fall.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4759\" data-end=\"4775\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4777\" data-end=\"5072\">A comprehensive approach to autumn nutrition \u2014 combining soil and foliar applications \u2014 enables fruit and berry crops to effectively undergo the hardening process.
