One of the most important factors influencing soybean productivity is the use of mineral fertilizers. Soybeans can also meet most of their nitrogen needs (50% to 70%) through symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. An efficient soybean fertilization system should be based on a balanced supply of soybean plants with phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, magnesium and trace elements, as well as on creating optimal conditions for nitrogen fixation processes.
Application of Fertilizers for Soybeans
Depending on the growing conditions, the main fertilizer for soybeans is applied in autumn in the form of: KALIUM MAKOSH 100-180 kg/ha, MAKOSH UNIVERSAL Z BOREM 120-200 kg/ha, SUPERFOSFAT MAKOSH z mikroelementami (B, Zn) 120-200 kg/ha. A significant increase in yields is achieved by applying MAKOSH UNIVERSAL Z BOREM 100-150 kg/ha during sowing, as soybean plants need available phosphorus and potassium most of all in the early periods of growth and development, which contributes to the formation of more generative organs and resistance to adverse weather conditions. An important measure in the soybean nutrition system is foliar nutrition with microfertilizers. The lack of microelements leads to lower yields, more intense disease damage, and loss of seed quality. For effective nitrogen fixation, soybean plants must be nourished with such trace elements as boron and molybdenum. Before sowing, apply Wonder Leaf Wonder Micro – 1.5 l/t of seeds.
Foliar nutrition
The first foliar nutrition should be carried out in the 1-3 trifoliate leaf stage with the following fertilizers:
Urea – 5 kg/ha;
Magnesium sulphate crystalline (heptahydrate) – 5-10 kg/ha;
Wonder Leaf Blue – 2-3 kg/ha or Wonder Leaf Mono P 30 1-2 l/ha;
Wonder Leaf Mono B 11– 1-2 l/ha;
Wonder Leaf Mono Mo 3 – 0,3-0,6 l/ha.
The second foliar nutrition should be carried out in the phase of 3 or more leaves before budding with the following fertilizers:
Urea– 5 kg/ha;
Magnesium sulphate crystalline (heptahydrate) – 5-10 kg/ha;
Wonder Leaf Red or Wonder Leaf Yellow – 2-3 kg/ha;
Wonder Leaf Mono B 11– 1-2 l/ha.
To improve the quality indicators (protein content) in the phase of fruit and seed formation, the following tank mixture should be applied:
Urea – 4 kg/ha;
Magnesium sulphate crystalline (heptahydrate) – 5-10 kg/ha;
Wonder Leaf Red 2-3 kg/ha;
Wonder Leaf Wonder Micro – 2-3 l/ha.
With the help of foliar nutrition with this complex, soybean plants are provided with all the necessary macro and microelements in a balanced ratio, which contributes to the full disclosure of the potential yield of soybeans. The use of these fertilizers significantly increases plant resistance to stressful situations, adverse weather conditions and diseases.
The unique fertilizer Wonder Leaf Amino 43 – 0.5-1 l/ha – can protect plants from the effects of herbicide stress and acute nutrient deficiency.
Fertilizer rates are advisory in nature, as the exact doses of fertilizer can be determined based on the results of soil analysis, crop rotation, hybrid/variety and other factors. The nutrient removal is calculated according to the need.
